Client: The Salyers Group

This 90,000 square-foot boutique hotel boasts a full-service restaurant, large open-air patio and event lawn, meeting facilities and fitness center. The 114-guest room modern luxury hotel pays homage to the history of the century-old downtown building, originally Coppin's Department Store. The hotel's unique design is matched by the one-of-a-kind management by Aparium, featuring their signature hospitality, collaboration, and service models.

Surf and turf in the open air.

This beach- and surf-themed restaurant will offer sweeping views with plenty of windows, open air seating, and a generous rooftop deck. Inspired by top surfing cultures, the restaurant will feature a lively, colorful environment that accents handmade artifacts.

Historic barber shop gains new life.

Flow/A Shop For Gentlemen features a men’s retail shop and barbershop in one. The storefront retail shop is an urban industrial space with bespoke clothing racks and benches. Cutman occupies the rear of the shop and features barber chairs from the original owner with boxing gym-inspired matte black subway tiles, over-sized mirrors, and concrete countertops.

This 5,000 square-foot neighborhood eatery features a first floor bar and restaurant with a second floor private dining and outdoor rooftop patio. The vintage and farmhouse atmosphere is strengthened with the abundance of salvaged, original woodwork and wood beams throughout. A signature Harvest Hare wallcovering, featuring the restaurant’s rabbit logo further enhances the brand. Food is locally sourced and inspired by the area’s rich history, inspiring the cozy, hospitable ambiance.

A giant move from suburbia to downtown.

Motorola Mobility’s 600,000 square-foot workspace includes open, collaborative office spaces, an outdoor terrace, lab benching and production line equipment and several amenity spaces, including food service, a conference center and customer service center. The move from a suburban business campus to historic Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago opened new design and function possibilities for the technology giant. The progressive lighting features the latest in technology, strategic workplace design, lighting controls and sustainable design.

Goodyear’s headquarters facility is a sprawling 685,000 square-foot, three-wing compound divided by two expansive six-story lobbies. The lighting introduces large luminous surfaces to the public spaces and offers warmth, texture and continuity throughout the sizeable headquarters.  It is now among the largest LEED Gold Certified buildings in Ohio.

With history of it’s own as one of Cleveland’s oldest law firms, Calfee saw potential in the nearly dilapidated historic landmark Rockwell Building. The LEED Gold Certified project compliments the facility’s historic design while introducing modern details. The result is a contemporary workplace that values the historic roots of the building and neighborhood.
